Deleting is a soft delete. Deleted assets keep their history and can be restored from the Deleted list; related licenses, components, accessories and maintenances stay linked.

- Batch rule: some conditions reject the entire batch before anything is written; other assets that can't proceed are skipped and the rest go ahead.
- Soft delete: the asset keeps its history and can be restored from the Deleted list.
- Legacy also removes the asset's external-source rows. Licenses, components, accessories, maintenances and child assets are not checked.
