Security & validation

WARNING: an encrypted field can't be searched, and isn't shown in emails or the requestable list. Dates, checkboxes and radio buttons can't be encrypted. Encryption can't be turned on or off for an existing field.

Show this field on

Where the field is collected. Edit forms always include it.

Ask for the value when an asset is checked out.
Ask for the value when an asset is checked in.
Ask for the value during an audit.

Visibility

Include the value in checkout emails to the user.
Show as a default column in asset lists (people can still toggle it).
Show the value in the requestable assets list.
The person an asset is checked out to can see this value.
